Funeral Celebrant in Chesham and the Chilterns

Hello, I’m Catherine. I’m an independent funeral celebrant based in Chesham, and I help families create a funeral that is truly personal to the person they have lost.

Together we will tell the story of their life: who they were, what they loved, and the memories you want everyone to take home.

A ceremony that is all about your loved one

Not everyone wants the same kind of funeral. Some families would prefer a non-religious ceremony. Others would like a hymn, a prayer or a favourite reading alongside personal tributes. I’m happy to include whatever feels right for you.

I’ll meet you to talk everything through, at a pace that suits you. You’ll see and approve every word before the day. Afterwards, I’ll send you a keepsake folder with the full text of the ceremony.

How I can help

Funerals: a personal celebration of life at a crematorium, cemetery or other venue.

Memorials: a gathering after a direct cremation, or once a little time has passed.

Scattering of ashes: a gentle ceremony in a place that meant something to them.

Pre-written funerals: plan your own ceremony now, to take the pressure off your family later.
